Principal’s message

On behalf of all the staff members, I would like to welcome everyone to St Luke’s Academy.

It is a privilege to serve all of you as Principal.

Our Montessori Toddler and Preschool program began as Casa Dei Bambini in 2003 and has an outstanding reputation.

Due to the need for a primary school on the West Coast with an international curriculum to complement the syllabus set by the Ministry of Education and due to the dwindling demand for a preschool up to 4 years, St. Luke’s Academy was established in 2016. We cater to students through the Primary Levels up to the Barbados Secondary School Entrance Examination.

We integrate the Montessori Method throughout all classes in the Primary School up to 11- year-olds, and I am proud to be part of such a fresh and unique approach to education here on the island.

St. Luke's Academy is home to enthusiastic students who are eager to explore and learn, supported by parents and guardians who take an active interest in their children’s or ward's education, and guided by a dedicated team of professionals committed to providing a high-quality learning experience.

I would like to encourage each parent/guardian to stay active in their child’s education and keep lines of communication open with your class head teachers. Taking just a few minutes in the evening to read to your child, talk with your child about school, or simply see that your child is organized for the next school day can have great benefits.
